H3 Robot Tires and Wheels

So here is the first post about the industrial robot prototype that I'm currently building.

I found the right size tires, made from hard rubber with an internal steel ring, used to keep them in place after press fitting them into the target wheels hubs.

As can bee seen these are not ordinary tires, because they need to be able to handle some heavy cargo ( estimated robot work load ~= 200Kg).

In order to support the expected loads, we also need some capable wheel hubs.

These where hand crafted from hard steel tubing and turned using a lathe.

Some holes were drilled and tapped, to later provide fixing points for wheel covers.

Since the wheels diameter exceeds my lathe maximum work diameter, I had to have these hubs made by someone else with a larger lathe.
